NSCD

What’s the story?

The Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) is a prestigious dance school situated within a former Synagogue in North Leeds. Grade II listed, the building is an elegant and unique blend of the old and new.

What was the requirement?

Digital Plus was enlisted to provide a range of signs and graphics to help create a stimulating learning environment and brand the building’s exterior. The school was also interested in creating some smart areas to share information and news.

What was the solution?

Working alongside the NSCD team, we designed, produced and installed a selection of graphics to transform their current signage and utilise some of the empty interior wall and window space.

As a prestigious dance facility, the graphics were designed to showcase the creativity and achievements of its students. Adhering closely to the NSCD’s brand guidelines and using a selection of their stunning photography, our team produced:

  • Exterior signage for the school’s main entrance
  • Full colour print direct display boards in the main reception
  • Digital wallpapers in alcove wall areas and staircase walls around the school
  • A feature of translucent full colour window vinyls in the atrium areas
  • Powder coated steel notice boards with applied vinyl graphics located around the school

What were the results?

The result is a smart, contemporary and inspiring school building to be enjoyed by students, staff and visitors alike. The signs and graphics work to create a space that is visually impactful while remaining sensitive to the building itself.

“Working with the Digital Plus team has been a thoroughly professional experience throughout. From the initial project discussion to the final exterior signage installation, liaising with project management, installers and studio, has been easy. It’s great to continue hearing comments about what a difference the branding has made. You can’t miss us now!”
