What’s the Story Behind the Royal Armouries Leeds Exhibition Signage?
The exhibition Gladiators, Heroes of the Colosseum arrived at the Royal Armouries Leeds
from 28 June to 2 November 2025, bringing a major cultural attraction to West Yorkshire. As a long-term signage partner, we were thrilled to be involved in such an important and high-profile exhibition.
Our extensive knowledge of the site meant we could move quickly, having previously surveyed most areas of the museum. However, this project introduced a new external location, requiring fresh ideas and creative problem-solving to maximise impact.
Our Solution for Exhibition Signage at Royal Armouries Leeds
We carried out a detailed survey of the exterior walls facing the canal to assess how large flex face graphic frames could be installed. The aim was to create a flexible, interchangeable branding space suitable not only for this exhibition but for future events as well.
The installation presented several challenges, including restricted access and uneven ground conditions. Careful planning was required to manage the weight of materials, machinery, and installation crew, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
Despite these challenges, our team developed a solution that made full use of the space while delivering a bold and visually striking result.
